-
Community Roots is a workshop series designed to support parents by fostering resilience, encouraging self-reflection, and creating a space for community connection.
-
The program is open to all parents or caregivers who are navigating the challenges of parenting and want to explore their unique parenting identity.
-
Topics include parental resilience, the transition to parenthood (matrescence), emotional validation, self-care, physical and mental health, and building a supportive community.
-
Sessions include group discussions, storytelling, reflective practical activities to help mindfully process emotions, and practical tools for resilience and self-growth.
-
Parenting can be overwhelming, and resilience helps parents adapt to challenges, manage emotions, and be present for their children.
-
Matrescence is the emotional and physical transformation a person experiences when becoming a parent. Understanding it helps parents normalize feelings and find identity.

By providing tools to acknowledge and validate emotions, fostering a sense of community, and encouraging self-care practices, it aims to nurture emotional health in a safe space.
